Joao lives and works in Paris. Joao Vieira Torres is an artist who studied at Le Fresnoy art school. He participated in the Hors-piste festival at the Pompidou Center in 2014. Rooted in a storytelling tradition which associates intimate journals and travel diaries, his performance weaves together family memories and collective history, revealing how the present, in its advent, ceaselessly induces a rewriting of the past.
